Design

Our team was thrilled to bring this playful aquatic oasis to life for North Norfolk District Council, as part of a brand-new state-of-the-art leisure centre in Sheringham. The overall swimming pool design combines fun and fitness, offering a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages.

At the heart of the leisure centre is a bright and colourful splash pad, thoughtfully designed to provide younger children with a space to explore and interact with water in a safe, engaging environment. The layout encourages learning through play, with features that allow kids to discover the movement and flow of water through channels, jets, and interactive elements.

To create a dynamic splash experience, we integrated a variety of features from our Eco Splash product range, including:

• Four tipping buckets for surprising, timed splashes

• Two water spinners to introduce movement and tactile play

• Two water showers offering gentle streams for sensory exploration

To enhance the vibrant seaside theme, we also incorporated elements from Water Odyssey’s Fun Forms range, bringing in colourful, characterful structures that reflect the local coastal charm.

The result is a visually striking and highly interactive splash pad that not only supports active play and early learning, but also complements the leisure centre’s family-friendly focus—making it a destination for both fun and development.
