Design

This brand-new, state-of-the-art leisure centre stands proudly as the flagship facility for Places Leisure, and with it comes one of the most immersive and engaging splash pads we’ve ever delivered. Designed to offer a truly unique and memorable experience, this splash pad has quickly become a favourite for local families.

The design is built around an exciting medieval theme, turning water play into a full-on adventure. Children can race around the moat, take cover from wall jets bursting through castle walls, defend their fortress, or team up to defeat the mighty dragon—every element was created to spark imagination and encourage energetic play.

The main focal point of the space is the grand Castle Run, a central play structure that brings the theme to life with interactive features, themed design elements, and multiple play zones. Surrounding it are a range of our EcoSplash inground water features, selected to offer varied play experiences while maintaining a low profile for safety and visibility.

To further enhance the theme, we took advantage of the splash pad’s tucked-away corner location, incorporating custom-printed tiles along the surfaces to add rich visual depth and detail—making the environment feel truly magical.

This project is a fantastic example of how imaginative design, thoughtful theming, and high-quality aquatic features can come together to create a next-level splash pad experience—one that’s both visually striking and endlessly fun.
