Melksham’s King George V Playing Fields Splash Pad Melksham Town Council

Built in 2019, this splash park is an innovative interactive splash pad to accommodate up to 120 children at any one time. The theme is based around nature, incorporating a large Daisy raindrop with twin tippers and our Aqua Tent flower. A mixture of in-ground features including a water tunnel (Arching Water Fence), Water Beasty's, Sea Squirt’s and two Water Cannons completing the excitement for the older age group. The finished surface is brushed concrete covering 120m2. The brushed concrete offers a non slip surface with a natural colour to blend into the surrounding park. There is a tarmac path around the perimeter to allow access for children of all abilities, complete with a section of Astro Turf to provide an additional play space for the younger age group to share the fun with their siblings. We were also commissioned to refurbish the paving and patio areas to the front of the Pavilion to provide the complete package. Kingcombe Stonbury designed, installed and commissioned this project, including supply and install of the play equipment from our own UK manufactured EcoSplash range.
