Lake Pleasure Grounds - Warminster Warminster Town Council

A popular paddling pool in Warminster was close to the end of its life and
required a costly revamp to bring the pool back up to working order. The local
Council approached The Splash to provide an initial idea to renovate the existing
space into a brand-new exciting Splash Park, creating a fun place for all ages.
The Council received approval for the new Splash Park and released the project
through a competitive tendering process, where The Splash were the successful
bidder.

As part of our proposal, we offered a new custom design with maximum play
value whilst tailoring it to suit the local heritage. Our ‘Out of this World’ Splash
theme was based on historic local UFO sightings which helped us create a brand-new
experience that will be long lived in the memories of its users.

A paddle zone was included within the design to play tribute to the old paddling
pool, along with a mixture of space themed features and in-ground jets. Our
themed wet pour safety surfacing finishes the design complete with moons, stars,
craters, and planets for a true space experience.

The tender documents called for the installation of a single use system however
through the detailed design phase, a full re-circulation system was chosen as the
favoured option, providing sustainability and cost benefits over the operational
life of the Splash Park.
