Existing Site

The project site was initially a green field area located next to a newly built pavilion.

Design

Built in 2019, this splash park is an innovative, interactive splash pad designed to accommodate up to 120 children at once. The theme is inspired by nature, featuring a large Daisy raindrop, twin tippers, and our Aqua Tent flower. A mix of in-ground features, including a water tunnel (Arching Water Fence), Water Beasty's, Sea Squirt's, and two Water Cannons, adds excitement for the older age group. The finished surface is brushed concrete covering 120m², providing a non-slip surface with a natural colour that blends into the surrounding park. A tarmac path around the perimeter ensures accessibility for children of all abilities, while a section of Astro Turf provides an additional play space for younger children to share the fun with their siblings. We were also commissioned to refurbish the paving and patio areas in front of the Pavilion, completing the full package. We designed, installed, and commissioned the project, including the supply and installation of the play equipment from our own UK manufactured EcoSplash range.

Re-Visit

Five years later, the council decided to further enhance this successful splash pad by adding Gomy Floor Tiles to the area, introducing colour and a softer surface for everyone to enjoy.
